Across informal shelter settlements in rural Northern Aleppo, thousands of displaced families face severe poverty and restricted employment opportunities. Responding to urgent nutritional needs, BESME INSANI executed a targeted bread relief project designed to secure daily meals for vulnerable households. Over this field intervention, our team distributed 13,500 kg of fresh bread to 2,700 displaced families, supporting an estimated 13,500 individuals.
For destitute households living in makeshift shelters, a daily bundle of bread serves as the primary staple sustaining children through harsh living conditions. To guarantee food hygiene and nutritional quality, field supervisors oversaw bakery production and direct packaging. Dedicated mobile units navigated difficult rural roads to deliver fresh bread allocations straight to camp sectors before breakfast hours.
Operations strictly followed humanitarian protection guidelines to preserve beneficiary dignity. Field monitors established designated waiting areas for women and elderly residents, while special mobile teams provided direct door-to-door bread delivery for persons with restricted mobility or disabilities who could not stand in distribution queues.
The reliable daily provision of fresh bread offers immediate relief and restores hope to parents struggling to nourish their families. BESME INSANI extends its gratitude to humanitarian donors whose support enables our field teams to maintain these essential food security lifelines in Northern Aleppo.
