Dear Donors!
Great progresses have been made with the farm construction. Today, we are only missing the fence on top of the entrance gate and few tools for the animals. The garden is already a pleasure to look at as it flourishes every day and the entrance gate is ready to have the name 'LE PAIN QUOTIDIEN' on it.
We are very, very excited and we can only imagine what a beautiful place it will be, like a resort in the desert. This coming March the president of Aleimar will be going to Abomey to visit the project and we will celebrate all together.
Unfortunately pictures can only partially represent the immense effort that we have been through- with all our supporters on the ground- to make this possible.
This farm will be a fresh start for the people of Abomey. It will set new standards to raise animals and grow food. It will change the way people approach farming, giving the new infrastructures and tools that will be available.
It will give to the children of the centres the chance to look ahead with hope that things will be better very soon as they will not feel hungry anymore. It will give them the chance to learn, it will inspire them to do better in life, to strive and achieve and at last, it would give people in Abomey a chance to work hard looking after what will be their after the inauguration.
Let's all be proud of our hard work and stop for a moment to appreciate how important "these few walls" are going to be for the people of Abomey.
To all Donors, actual and potential, let's appreciate what your collective contributions have been able to achieve, and most importantly, the spirit of kindness and generosity behind every donation.
We sincerely look forward to your continuous support.
