Hello dear Donors & Friends,
We like to present to you our 1st Dairy Goat Project that we started this month in Mareu Village (Kwa Filipo sub Village).
The dairy goat project was initiated as a pilot program with 4 dairy goats in Mareu Village, Kwa Filipo sub-village on 24th October 2025. The pilot group comprises 20 members, who are collectively working to improve household income and nutrition through sustainable dairy goat farming.
According to the project model, the first and second offspring (kids) from each goat will be passed on to new members, while the original goats remain with the initial farmers. This “pass-on” system ensures sustainability, inclusivity, and the gradual expansion of benefits to the wider community.
In the first phase, hopefully 8 new goats will be distributed to new members. As the project progresses, the first and second generations of kids (a total of 16) will also be given to additional members.
Among the selected members, a chairman has been appointed to oversee and follow up on project progress, ensuring that all participants adhere to the project guidelines and maintain healthy goats.
So, we hope we get more donations soon to give the other 4 goats to this project location, a goat is $100, where is included vet, education, groupmeetings, etc.
A recap of the project goals:
