On January 23, the 2014/15 academic year’s first semester ended, giving our 961 full boarding and full scholarship students a two week break to be reunited with their families across 67 provinces of Turkey.
During their time at school, Darussafaka encourages its students to actively engage in more than 50 co-curricular clubs and activities on campus, ranging from robotics, mechatronics and astronomy to Model UN and Destination & Imagination.
Darussafaka Robotics Team, “Sultans of Turkey”, has been participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition in the USA for the past 6 years. Last year, the team competed at the Chicago Regional which took place at the UIC Pavillion, on April 3-5, 2014. As a past country champion and a winner of Best Project Award, Best Performance Award, Best Presentation Award and Best Teamwork Award since their first participation, the team enjoyed another wonderful learning experience while competing with teams from around the world.
Today, we are proud to announce that our team’s hard work once again paid off, and that their performance in last year’s games has earned them a brand new 3D Printer Award!
Thank you once again for making these accomplishments possible by investing in the next generation of leaders to become the innovators and designers of tomorrow.
Best regards,
