Through our coordination and learning initiatives, we have achieved significant milestones in our efforts to combat child marriages in Uganda:

We have facilitated the formation of multi-stakeholder partnerships, fostering collaboration and synergy among diverse actors working towards a common goal.

We have established platforms for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and best practice dissemination, enabling stakeholders to learn from each other's experiences and expertise.

Through data collection and analysis, we have gained valuable insights into the root causes and prevalence of child marriages, informing the design and implementation of targeted interventions.

Through community mobilization efforts, we have engaged community leaders, parents, and youth in dialogue and advocacy to raise awareness about the harmful consequences of child marriages and promote alternative pathways for girls' empowerment.

Our legal advocacy initiatives have resulted in the enforcement of existing laws and policies aimed at protecting children from early and forced marriages, ensuring accountability and justice for survivors.

While we have made significant progress, challenges such as entrenched cultural norms, poverty, and limited access to education continue to perpetuate the practice of child marriages. However, these challenges also present opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and targeted interventions to address underlying drivers and empower girls to realize their full potential.
