Healing Hearts, A Call to Continue the Journey

DIAGNOSIS WITH NO CURE IRAQI CHILDREN WITH CANCER

Quarterly Update: December 2025 – March 2026

A Difficult Quarter

This quarter has been challenging for our Healing Hearts program. Due to limited funding, we could not provide the level of support that these children and their families truly need and deserve.

Despite this, our team remained committed. We visited the children’s cancer center in Basra to stay connected with the children and remind them that they are not forgotten.

During our visit, we brought small gifts to lift their spirits and provided a limited number of food baskets and essential household items to some of the families. While these efforts were modest, they meant a great deal to those who received them.

What We Were Able to Do

Even with limited resources, your past support helped us:

  • Visit children at the cancer center and offer emotional encouragement and care.
  • Provide basic food support to families facing financial hardship.
  • Deliver simple gifts that bring moments of joy to children during treatment.
  • We wish we could have done more. The need is much greater than we were able to meet this quarter.

A Story of Strength: Ahmed’s Courage

Ahmed is 7 years old. He has just begun his treatment journey.

When we met him, he was sitting quietly beside his mother, trying to understand what was happening around him. It is not easy for a child his age to face something so big.

Our team sat with him and spoke gently, telling him, “You are strong. You can do this.”

He looked at us for a moment, and then a small smile appeared on his face.

That smile carried hope. It showed that even in the middle of fear, a child can still find strength when someone believes in him.

We promised Ahmed that after these difficult months, there would be a special reward waiting for him, something to celebrate his courage and his fight.

Ahmed’s smile stayed with us. It reminded us that behind every child is a story of strength and a need for support that we cannot meet alone.

Why Your Support Matters Now More Than Ever

This quarter showed us a hard truth. Without enough support, we cannot reach every child who needs us.

Families are struggling not only with illness, but also with the cost of food, transportation, and daily living. Children are fighting for their lives, while their parents are fighting to keep everything together.

A Call from the Heart

We are asking for your support today.

With your help, we can return to these children with more than just kind words. We can bring real support, food, care, and hope to every child and every family facing this battle.

Children like Ahmed are waiting. Together, we can stand beside them.
