Dear Friend,
In January, DigiServe had the opportunity to discuss with the Disability Vocational Development Center about training programs for people with disabilities and increasing the number of students coming to intern with us this year. Our team went to visit their facility and to meet the leaders. New classes will begin here this month.
We also conducted online ITF training sessions for people with disabilities to enhance their IT skills for future employment. Mr Dear leads the online training which can be challenging depending on the students disabilities (blind, limited use of hands) or by their tecnology (some only have a mobile phone). We had to implement online classes as some students were not able to travel to our training center.
Additionally, DigiServe had the opportunity to present the Child At Risk System (Cars) program to Kingdom Kids organization for efficient child data management.
We also engaged in consultancy planning with Growing Together. They need an app that would work around the world to allow their staff to report on sensitve topics.
Throughout these two months, DigiServe assisted FCF (Family Connection Foundation) with setting up their networking and help Taw Sang Foundation with some hardware issues.
We also provided basic GitHub (a source code repository) training for our apprentices to further their skills.
We seek to provide IT help to other Foundations working with the most vunerable in Thailand. This includes IT support, IT literacy training, and administrative web apps. We do this free of charge and we are very grateful for your partnership to make that happen.
