Digital Classrooms for Schools of Rural Sindh

At Al Mehran Research and Development Foundation (AMRDF), we believe every child regardless of where they live they deserves access to modern tools, quality education, and a window to the world. Through the Digital Classrooms for Schools of Rural Sindh project, our mission is to turn that vision into reality for children who have never touched a computer.

Thanks to the generous early support from our community and donors, we have taken our crucial first step: we have officially purchased and constructed foundation in one of our partner rural schools!

While this foundation of room is a tangible milestone, it currently stands as a blank canvas and ready to be transformed into a vibrant, fully functioning digital learning lab equipped with computers, internet access, and interactive learning materials.

Building the room was the foundation, but a classroom without technology cannot teach. Right now, students walk past this new room every day with eager curiosity, waiting for the moment the screens light up and their digital journey begins.

To bring this classroom to life and to replicate this model in other waiting rural schools we urgently need to bridge our remaining funding gap.

• Infrastructure: Reliable power backup solutions (such as solar/UPS) and internet connectivity tailored for rural settings.
• Teacher Training: Empowering local educators with the digital skills needed to lead engaging tech-based classes.

We are working tirelessly on the ground to stretch every dollar and make this vision a reality as quickly as possible. This first constructed room proves what is possible when a community comes together.
