Aid to 700 in NW Zone, Tigray, Ethiopia

Our local partner in the Northwest Zone, Tigray, Ethiopia — the Ethiopia Full Gospel Believers Shire Church — has confirmed the regular monthly disbursement of assistance to 700 beneficiaries. While our goal is to make transfers every month, we occasionally experience delays due to temporary shortages of funds available for transfer from the U.S. side. Even when this happens, we ensure that disbursements resume as soon as resources are secured.

This program helps reduce the displacement of families away from their schools and homes to feeding centers in bigger cities. Without this support, many families are forced to leave their communities in search of food, often becoming homeless and losing dignity in the process. By assisting children where they live, we help families remain stable, safe, and rooted in their own communities.

For the month of May 2026, the church submitted its request to Lion International Bank to transfer 1,400,000 ETB (one million four hundred thousand birr) to the identified beneficiaries.

This transfer was authorized and signed by the church leadership: – Pastor Tesfay Haftom – Mr. Araya Bahre – Mr. Kiros Abraha

These recurring disbursements remain a lifeline for vulnerable families, providing predictable support even when circumstances occasionally shift the exact timing. We remain committed to transparency, reliability, and accountability as we continue serving households affected by displacement and hardship.
