The students of the Conducted Education Center and the entire community that we participate in feel very proud of the achievements achieved: preschool graduates, basic and high school graduates.
Ready to start new educational challenges: a student has managed to receive a scholarship from an important high school in Mexico, with a support scholarship to complete high school online. You will continue to attend Centro Educativo Con Nuestros to continue developing your Conducted Education routines and receive pedagogical advice in your studies. There is a lot of enthusiasm because of their great interest in achieving a college education. Cheer up families!
Three new students have joined as a result of our registration campaign. The families did a great job of spreading the word about the school. It is essential that educational inclusion expands. Seeing boys and girls learn, feeling the joy of their coexistence outside of school and achieving their desire to see themselves as part of a world, teaches us the way so that our views on diversity can enrich each other.
Collaboration, fraternal bonds and productivity
The families of the students, convinced of the benefits of the project for their children, as an agreement emanating from the Family Assembly, generated a list of fundraising activities from August to December 2023. Among the activities carried out, we can celebrate the production and jam sale 2023. By repeating last year's successful activity, they strengthened the participation of families in this jam sale, which was achieved in one week.
Another important activity as family groups was the center's cleaning and repair day, where they obtained donations for tools and implements that, due to the wear and tear of time, required doors, windows, shelves and others. The participation of parents, skilled in electrical, plumbing and carpentry activities, was very emotional.
It is worth noting that the collection was also scheduled through Planillas Destapa y Gana, in which donations range between $5.00 and $35.00, strengthening our spirit to appreciate small donations, as promoted by Little by Little. The grandmothers in our country said: “De pesito en pesito se llena el jarrito” (Mexican peso little by little fills a vase)
We also held a beautiful Saturday meeting. We called it Kermess, where all the families gathered and donated food so that friends from Con Nuestros could visit us and share our celebration. Selling food and games allowed us to raise some resources that made it possible to complete the payment of the teachers.
Work networks for Special Education in México
We can say that the strengths of the Educational Center have been a topic to consider in the work circles that are organized with the Directors of special education schools in the school zone to which we belong. THE State Institute of Basic Education has designated us as the venue for meetings and learning of the work model for children with neuromotor disabilities.
Likewise, in a collaborative manner with the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos through the Educational Inclusion and Attention to Diversity Unit, we managed to hold the Colloquium entitled: “Conducted Education: the challenge of personal autonomy, background and current events.” On September 21 and 22, conferences were held in which the historical, scientific and social contexts in which the Conducted Education model was formulated, also known as the Petö Model by its creator András Petö, were taken up. This Colloquium was part of the international activities that were carried out to commemorate the 130th Anniversary of the birth of András Petö.
We had very important presentations, among which we can count that of the Director of the Petö Institute of the Semelweiss University in Hungary. The rector of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos and researchers from various institutions who allowed us to delve deeper into this model and for students from various professions to have an approach to the possibilities of action based on this model. University students from psychology, education, physical education, physiotherapy, among others, attended.
This opens guidelines for the UAEM to offer postgraduate studies in the near future to train professionals in Conducted Education, so that people with neuromotor disabilities can be included in the enrollment of university studies and for families to become more involved. committed to this process that revolutionaryly transforms our way of seeing difference in a creative way.
Thanks for thinking differently. For thinking about ConNosotros
