Great activities carried out to reach the end of the year!
Disseminating information about cerebral palsy from our Social Networks, in our opinion, allows us to expand social criteria so that diversity is seen as a life opportunity. Our students who live with Cerebral Palsy as a living condition, maintain constant activity, learning for daily life and moments of great fun with their classmates. Everything is a learning moment. For this reason, our publications show another way of experiencing disability, not as limited beings, but as beings who seek to develop motor skills to live fully, tailored to each individual, to live fully the enormous opportunity of life.
The students celebrated the Day of the Dead, a traditional Mexican holiday. We organized a costume contest at the school and also placed an offering dedicated to pets. Puppies, cats and parrots were fondly remembered.
The school's students constantly receive workshops and classes on good nutrition. It is crucial to maintain physical health and adequate weight so that they have fuller control over their own bodies. The activities of sliding, grabbing and rolling performed on the wooden stretchers, which they perform by themselves, require strength. One thing does not happen with another. We are happy to see how families also respond to recommendations about good eating. This way the lunches no longer contain junk food and the students' weight is regulated little by little.
We held the Paella Contest again in last november, where founding families of the school coexist widely with current families. And the society that offers social event services in Cuernavaca supports the event with donations. A magnificent way to motivate coexistence, reunion and inclusion of our students in environments of great celebration.
Once again, our students participated in the Photography Contest: This is Water, organized by the Autonomous Technological Institute of Water in Mexico. By playing, they learned to think and organize a photograph that would capture what they thought about water. The most notable thing about this contest is the work of the teachers, who encourage the students to conceptualize, learn and free their imagination to think about an idea about photography. Also supporting them in the instrumentation of this is great! These are awards and recognition for students and their teachers.
During the month of January, a campaign for scientific knowledge has been carried out, in which general learning in all schools in the region requests to carry out active and very defined dynamics. Thus, our students of all ages participate by carrying out experiments and joining in learning moments with scientists from the state university. An activity that strengthens their regular curriculum and makes them feel linked and included in collective processes.
The entire Con Nuestro community, students, families and alumni, social service providers, received the beautiful Talk on Thanatology. Supporting with this, the growth processes of the students and their families.
The academic programs continue to meet the curricular objectives of each student in the grade they are in. Students follow the routines that teachers design and families continue to participate closely with the school. Between October and December we have received three new students and those who have joined as new students expressed in the Family Assembly their surprise at the comprehensive work model, thanking and joining, above all, the efforts we make to keep the school going.
Thank you very much for thinking differently, for thinking ConNotros!
