Program designed distribute disposal sanitary napkins to rural areas 100 Disable girls in Jamalpur district of Bangladesh in order to develop their menstrual hygiene. This hygienic practice of menstruation in rural area as well as minimization of menstrual taboo in local level awareness through hand Book, Counseling and motivation, organize reproductive health orientation with disable girls and care givers. Every girls need $ 75 will expenses every years.
Menstruation is a biological process in women. But its a big social taboo in our area. They are bound with social and family's restrictions such as:- not touching books, barrier doing home work and outside walking , not publicly discuss about this issue. Women and adolescent girls still use old cloth pieces in periods and lack of menstrual hygiene awareness and difficult access of sanitary pads in rural places. Adolescent disable girls don't management; have no knowledge menstruation process.
This program will address on provide sanitary napkins, prepare & distribute hand book on information about menstruation , Provide orientation personnel hygienic, counseling any problems on menstruation and reproductive health. This will help to enhance their access and promote use of sanitary and also enhance their knowledge about menstrual process which will ultimately lead to minimization of social restrictions.
Program will help to bring a long term impact in the lives of disable adolescent girls both biologically and socially. Use of Sanitary napkins will help them to remain healthy. Free from infections, more confident positively. Enhanced knowledge on menstruation will enlighten them against malpractices during menstruation. In the long term women will be more aware about their reproductive health, enjoy their reproductive rights properly and rise from social domination.
