Project Report | Jan 25, 2024
A Passionate Student

By Sara | Co-Founder

Dear Friends,

This is our first 2024 quarterly report. Happy New Year!  We wanted to introduce you, Anh one of our wonderful music students, supported by our program, thanks to you!

This is Anh, she is 17 years old and is currently a senior in High School. Anh is a very talented violinist. She has been one of our students for six years and is now one of our strongest musicians. The way that she holds her violin, moves while playing, and focuses, she clearly loves the violin. When we asked Anh how she spends her time when she is not studying, she said that she loves to read, listen to music, and play her violin, music is a passion of hers.

Anh has a very loving family. Her father is a mango farmer, her mother stays at home, and she has a younger brother who is in the 8th grade. Anh is a very good student, and her favorite subject in high school is math because she says she loves the assignments in calculus the best! Anh has also been learning English and plans to go to college in the fall of 2024. She is hoping to get a job as a manager one day, and she would love to also teach music, and maybe for Rock-Paper-Scissors even!

Along with this report there are a few photos of Anh, including one of her in the village of Son Tan, reading to some of our young students in our reading program there. Anh is one of 20 girls who are in our mentoring program, and who work with small groups of girls in the village. Of course they occasionally just like to take a break from reading and be silly together!

Thank you all for supporting our students like wonderful Anh!
