Dear Friends,
We would like to introduce you to one of our young students!
Hoa is an outgoing and driven student even though she is only in the 3rd grade. Hoa lives with her grandmother, who is the biggest supporter in her journey playing the violin. Hoa has lived with her grandmother since she was just a little girl, her mother and younger brother live in the neighboring town, where her mother takes on odd jobs alongside caring for her younger brother, who is in second grade now. Living with her father was not an option for Hoa, as he works overseas in Japan, where he works as an export laborer. Though her parents live apart from her, Hoa has found guidance, support, and encouragement from her grandmother.
Hoa has been a member of our music program for about a year and has loved every minute of it. She enjoys the classes because she likes that everyone is friendly and creates a warm and welcoming environment where she is able to learn and grow into a more confident violin player. Hoa especially loves making progress and being able to play new songs from her music book. Outside of the music program, Hoa loves going to school and learning, aside from playing the violin, her studies are one of the most important things to her. She is determined to complete her studies and be able to follow her dreams.
Hoa’s grandmother believes it is beautiful for a young girl like Hoa to be able to learn to play a musical instrument. She has noticed a change in Hoa since she joined the music program. She has noticed how responsible Hoa has become and how she remembers her class schedule and never misses a lesson. Hoa has discovered her hobby and talent in playing the violin and finds pride in herself when our music teacher relays to her grandmother how well she is doing and how fast she is advancing. Hoa has found a passion for playing the violin and is excited to continue to grow more confident in her music abilities.
We are so excited for Hoa and can’t wait to see what the next milestones will be for her. Thank you so much for the continued support, and we promise to keep sharing exciting program updates in the future.
