Bangladesh is a disaster prone south Asian country. This country is venerable to natural disasters due to its geographic location. Natural disasters occur every now and then here and people have to fight for their life and livelihoods. The common natural disasters of the country are tropical cyclone, flood, drought, thunder, erratic rainfall etc. In the recent past National Disaster Response Coordination Center (NDRCC) declared that 21 districts of Bangladesh are most affected due to week-long monsoon rains in the upstream regions and throughout the country. Most of the affected families lost their properties like home, crops etc. Over 60,000 families in low-lying areas are marooned in their home or community shelters. The flood affected people became helpless. They have no permanent resident to live, they have no food and water to eat and drink. They have become the worst sufferer among the victims. At this moment, we need emergency food, drinking water etc. to support them. Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is a development organization want to stay beside the flood victims through raising funds for them.
The project will assist flood affected people to have food packets, children to get milk and biscuits and relief kits will be provided among 100 flood victim families at an emergency basis.
So, the supported families will get some mental satisfaction and strength to fight with the burning situation. Target budget of the project is $ 100,000. Unfortunately, no fund is raised yet. So, we are requesting to the global donors to help us so that we can reduce the sufferings of the flood victims to some extent.
