In birthwork birthdays are monumental milestones. It symbolizes our client transition from preparing to have a baby to a full parenting journey. Birthdays mark development, changes in lifestyle, and celebratory time with loved ones who have impacted your village. Birthdays mean so much more in birthwork.
For parents this marker means reduced risk of SIDS, mapped out routines that encourage independent play and activity along with increased success in sleeping patterns. Hopefully your child is:
So many firsts captured through year one. A change in the seasons, trying new foods, and experiencing sights + sounds. Turning one marks true significance. In doula work we call the 4th trimester (birth-12 weeks) the crucial period for postpartum support. We know having support for our clients increases the likelihood of postive mental wellbeing and thriving family dynamics.
With this celebratory period also comes the remembrance of the birthing story. For one of our TFF clients in particular we knew this would be a triggering time. We were able to connect and support them and take photos to celebrate a “Happy Bee Day” theme at a local park. We are able to help our clients get to this milestone with your support & generosity.
