Thanks to you and so many other generous supporters, Rwanda-one4one graduated from GlobalGiving's Accelerator program! Not only did we graduate, but our project, Dyeing for Peace in Rwanda, finished FIRST of 689 projects in funds raised! This earned us bonus dollars from GlobalGiving which will help us do even more for our Rwandan families. We are humbled by and grateful for your role in helping us gain access to this highly respected global platform and believe it will help us expand not only our donor reach but also our organizational effectiveness.
Your gift will shortly be at work helping Mariya and Victoire grow their dyeing efforts. We raised enough funds to buy additional dye pots so they can dye more fabric at once, and to buy and ship them more fabric to create their beautiful scarves and wraps dyed with native plants. We are working to find more retail partners to sell these one-of-a-kind textiles so that the women can earn more income for their families. Thanks to your generosity we are also able to cover the full cost of primary and secondary education for all sixteen school age children for the coming school year!
Our families are proud. They do not want a handout, but rather a hand up. Our mission is to provide that hand up by helping them develop means of earning real income and educating their children. With your help, we are well on our way to achieving that objective for 33 Rwandans and hope soon to be able to expand our reach to more families. Again, we humbly thank you on their behalf. And they say thank you, too!
