The past few months we have been focused on the steps required to obtain NGO status in Rwanda. It is an arduous process and we are glad to report we have achieved approval from the Musanze Sector. The next step is approval from the Musanze District and the final approval is from the Rwanda Governing Board. We are so thankful for the full assistance of our Rwandan board members, Yves Gakunde and Grace Munezero for their expertise regarding the Rwanda laws and processes as we navigate through the requirements.
Nancy was in Rwanda in May to continue support and training with Umva. She brought donated materials from New England Fabrics in Keene, NH as a gift to make a tote bag for each Umva lady. The text on the fabric reads "It Takes a Hive to Thrive". Our boutique manager and seamstress sewed up tote bags and they are proudly showing them off.
Indeed it takes a hive to thrive. Thank you for your dedicated support as we continue to move forward!
We are all thankful.
