Today we would like to tell you more about the activities for children that we organize in the centers of the Way Home Foundation.
Due to the fact that we were able to provide children's centers with new games, materials and modern equipment, thanks to an excellent team of professionals, our child development program has no analogues in the city of Odessa. At the same time, children attend classes for free.
Sensory integration training. Neurogymnastics.
Preschool age is the time when children actively explore the world around them. Why these trainings are useful for any child:
- Improving the functioning of the brain. Training helps to correctly interpret signals from all body receptors (smell, touch, hearing, vision, vestibular apparatus).
- Improving physical and mental well-being: the child will learn to feel and hear signals from his own body, as well as control and manage his own emotional experiences.
- During classes, the child learns to concentrate and perform tasks of varying complexity and novelty.
- The child improves arbitrariness, there is confidence in himself and in his intentions.
- In the classroom, there is a correction of sensory-regulatory sensitivity, that is, the disturbed perception of the world around is restored.
Children develop tactile sensations and memory, attention, figurative and logical thinking. We use sand therapy, children work in the obstacle course with massage mats and soft blocks, play with sensory mats and stockings and do many other things to develop their fine and gross motor skills, tactile sensations and spatial orientation.
DIY studio
Making toys, appliqués, or DIY jewelry is one way to stimulate children's creativity. This process not only develops their imagination and motor skills, but also strengthens their self-esteem and self-reliance skills. By working with a variety of materials and tools, kids can turn their ideas into reality while enjoying the joy of creating something of their own.
Pottery today not only lives, but also becomes more popular. Our Way Home Foundation gladly welcomes children of war migrants and children from crisis and low-income families in the center. Every week in the classes in our pottery workshop, real magic happens - the transformation of an ordinary piece of clay into a work of art that comes to life in the hands of little wizards. They put a piece of their childish pure soul into their work.
Such activities contribute to the development of creative thinking, fine motor skills and imagination in children. They can demonstrate their individuality and self-expression through their work. Children develop skills in matching and classifying colors, shapes, and textures, as well as learning to work with space and composition. During tasks, preschoolers can improve their hand-eye coordination skills, as well as develop patience and the ability to focus on a task. In addition, they learn to cooperate with other children, develop social skills.
Parents of the children and we are grateful to you for supporting the project. However, many displaced families still need the services of our centers for preschool children, because access to municipal kindergartens is very difficult for them now.
