Hello, Dear friends!
We want to tell you about our updates.
We have introduced a new “One Week” method in our three Child Development Centers in Odessa city. The essence of the method is that children cover only one topic during the week. Children learn poems and tongue twisters on a given topic, make appliqués, learn a song and a simple dance, make crafts from clay, and so on.
The point is that the child thus better assimilates the amount of information corresponding to his age and psychological development. We have a teamwork system under the motto “One for all and all for one.”
Our centers also actively prepare children for entering the first grade of school, so children 6-7 years old undergo a more detailed analysis of each topic. At the centers, children learn basic concepts in mathematics, knowledge of the subject “I explore the world” and the basics of proficiency in the Ukrainian language. In each subsequent week, previous topics are integrated to review and consolidate acquired knowledge.
We are pleased to note that the intensive work of psychologists, methodologists and educators creates the right and healthy atmosphere in the team of each children's center. Positive dynamics are monitored in the behavior, concentration and perseverance of children.
We would like to draw your attention to several success stories of children from our center. A 3-year-old boy was admitted to one of the centers with signs of social maladaptation and the consequences of emotional abuse from one of his parents. With the help of the work of psychologists and the sensitive behavior of teachers, now the child attends the group without stress and easily finds a common language with his peers.
We also rejoice at the great achievements and rapid dynamics of a 5-year-old boy. The child quickly developed his memory and ability to think associatively, he learned to understand what was interesting to him and developed leadership skills.
These services are extremely important now, when the pre-school and school education systems are experiencing great difficulties due to the war. It’s so great that thanks to your support we can do so many useful things for Ukrainian preschoolers!
