Since the two largest earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria in beginning of February, the area has only seen more destruction and aftershocks. Last week, two more earthquakes stuck. 50,000 deaths have been confirmed in the region, with thousands more still missing.
Now, more than ever, humanitarian interventions are needed. Your support has gone towards distributing life-saving food baskets to vulnerable people affected by the earthquakes. These baskets are adapted to the realities on the ground and are filled with canned consumables and culturally sensitive ingredients to nourish families immediately. Bedding and sleeping bags have been distributed to counter the cold weather, as have winter kits (filled with gloves, hats, scarves).
We have more aid planned and need your support. Together, we can make a difference. One Person at a Time, One Humanity Closer.
