The project "Ecological ovens" stems from the need to improve the effectiveness of the traditional oven, the Eritrean mogogo, making it sustainable and safe for the health of people and animals. The energy performance of the traditional mogogo is less then 10% (it's estimated that it consumes 50% of the Eritrean wood) and there is no fumes collection system, causing respiratory and eyes diseases. The oven is essential in the Eritrean houses as there is cooked the engera, the daily food in Eritrea.
Actually, we have collected 1.240$. Thanks to your support, from December to today we have built 8 Eritrean mogogo (150$ each), but our goal is to build 30 ecological ovens.
We trust in your support to build the other 22 mogogo and to improve the quality of life of Eritrean villages.
