In the aftermath of war, climate issues, crop damage, and insecurity have put millions of Tigrayans at risk of starvation. The crisis is worse for women-led families, who struggle to gain access to the same resources as male heads of households. Despite these hardships, progress continues to be made in Tigray because of your continued support of women’s economic empowerment.
With your generous contributions, our project is in progress for mothers in the cities of Shire and Maichew. Each woman is receiving training on how to use electric pans to make injera. Their training includes how to bake injera as a small business, to help them sustain the lives of their families. We have also provided 10 quintals of flour for children attending school in Shire, ensuring they have bread to eat as they resume their education post-war.
Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of mothers supporting their families and children in school. We hope that you will maintain your support of this project by giving to provide enough teff, electric pans, and training for each woman and city involved in our program.
Thank you for your continued support.
