Economic Empowerment for Impoverished Mothers

Greetings! We hope this season of Spring is bringing you and yours warmth and joy! We are incredibly grateful to you for supporting our efforts as we grow further into 2025.

Thanks to your kindness, we had a successful GlobalGiving 2025 Little by Little campaign! Your blessings, in this campaign and throughout the year, enable us to continue supporting impoverished mothers and children in the following towns of Tigray, Ethiopia:

• Adigrat
• Adwa
• Maichew
• Shire
• Tembien
• Wukro

Our center in Wukro recently celebrated their first anniversary with the mayor attending and highlighting their recent successes and developments. We are proud of the progress and initiative these hard-working mothers have shown; they expanded their income-generating activities to include making and selling spices and other traditional foods! Thanks to your donations, they are making progress to become self-supporting.

We are making final preparations to open the program in Adwa; we have provided equipment, training, and transportation to begin the women’s income-generating activities. We are also providing mental health support for women and children suffering from wartime trauma in all our open programs. With your continued support, we can help all of our centers to continue growing and flourishing like Wukro and continue to help more towns across Tigray. Our next cities will be Axum, Mekelle, and Quiha!
