Helping the helpless during the holiday season

By Tadelech Weldetatyos | Founder and CEO

Happy Holidays!

We hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. Thanks to your kindness, we have had a successful GlobalGiving campaign, raising about $7.6k for our projects. Your donations have been the cornerstone of our project, and it is a pleasure to share the latest developments from our initiatives, especially the transformative journey witnessed in towns in Tigray.

With the resources and financial support provided, these resilient women have successfully started businesses, funded their children’s education, and significantly improved their livelihoods. This training has been providing new opportunities for these hardworking women. Evidence shows us that empowering women with financial resources and income opportunities benefits families and communities.

Now, we are preparing to open more program doors to women in more cities. We have started training them to use electric and traditional clay injera pans and handle their finances through their local banks. We are also providing mental health support for women and children suffering from wartime trauma.

Furthermore, due to the past war, there are still thousands of displaced people in every city in Tigray. We have provided flour for bread to vulnerable, displaced children in Adwa.

As we continue to expand our reach and impact, your support remains invaluable. We look forward to your continued partnership in creating a world where more women lead their lives independently and are at the forefront of making change in their communities.
