This is for YOU, because you understand our passion and cause.
You might not know that Chicuchas Wasi is based on Three Pillars:
Love, Respect and Dignity
YOUR loyal support that has allowed us to offer so much to our girls.
THANK YOU FOR GIVING US THIS OPPORTUNITY
I doubt you are aware of the ingenious idea that Ruth had when the school construction was completed in 2012. Above every classroom door there is a plaque with a different Value written on it, each class must focus on their Value for that school year.
CW Values used are: Love, Respect, Dignity, Punctuality, Honesty, Solidarity, Loyalty, Compassion and others are added each year.
Each grade must focus on their class Value for the school year, creating examples that they will share with the rest of the student body. In addition, each class will have one month during the year where they demonstrate to the student body their particular class Value through role play, poems and stories, and sharing how to include this Value in their daily life.
Take ‘Respect’ for example. When you consistently treat others with respect, the result is they will begin to return that ‘Respect’ to you. CW school has the ability to influence 110 girls for 8 years. At the end of those 8 years our girls will have been fully exposed to the importance of Values and aware of how they have grown into a better human being, with a dignity that has become a part of who they are and how they act in the world.
At CW school we strive to empower girls to become future leaders and to instill in each girl a comfortable relationship with these Values, so that their example will naturally spread to others. Our girls will develop the awareness that they are quality individuals making a difference in their society and the world. Imagine what our girls will bring to the world.

“When we liberate girls with an education, they liberate those around them."
The Cusco Summer vacation is coming to an end in 2 weeks and once again CW will open its doors for the students. On March 2, 2015 we will begin again by adding a new group of 4 year olds to our kindergarten class,15 new eager students to influence for a better life. More stories will come next month.
Meanwhile Ruth and our dedicated teachers are hard at work updating the curriculum to prepare for March 2. Here are a few photos of the amazing team we have at the school. Our students are fortunate to have such quality teachers. See photo of teachers wroking.
YOU MAKE THIS ALL POSSIBLE
THANK YOU
I am happy to share a few images of the spirit of our students and the creative style of teaching used by our fabulous teachers. Our teachers create an environment of love, trust and security for our students in every class. Our students respond to this safe space, wide open and free to become sponges soaking up all the knowledge that is available to them.
Look at their attentive faces - they glow!
