Thanksgiving is a special day of gratitude and CW first in-person event since Covid. We celebrated happily 37 years with all of you who came to our ‘Peruvian Holiday Bazaar Fundraiser’ on Nov 4. It was an absolute success and all the very artistic merchandise we hauled from Cusco sold out: Handmade alpaca shawls, scarfs, hats, gloves, purses, table cloths and a a silent auction and raffles and so much more.

The team began collecting and preparing last June for the Nov. event. We made snacks and Peruvian alfajores cookies to share with everyone, even a taste of Pisco Sour. Exhausted but happy we had little to pack up for next time. And that put a smile on all of our faces. What a success! Next we all took a few days to rest & gloat- happily.

CW girls will be celebrating Christmas and Graduation at the school and every girl will have a holiday gift to open. So please remember them for the year-end donation and send a promise for next year's school start March 2024.
To all of our friends around the world:
Feliz Navidad y Prospero Ano Nuevo para todos
Chicuchas Wasi financial update
As we face the holiday season and end of year tax season we will be working to keep our CW open with the tightest budget needed to open and teacher paid through January 2024. Estimated 2024 will be about the same as 2023 below and will be posted soon
Chicuchas Wasi School for Girls says THANK YOU!
CW's future when the (tuition-based ) 'Maria Tuition School' classes are filled, will be self-supporting. Covid upset our plans to open the Maria school in 2020 due to strict lock-down that lasted 2 years. We will be enrolling Maria School's new students for March 2024 school year.
NOTE: I am so sorry to ask again but we need you help until the enrollment begins for the Maria fundraising school next March. Thank you all for hanging in there with us. We have a little way to go yet but the impact of our work is self evident in the success of our girls...some are at the university today.
