Greetings dear friends!
Wishing you all a very happy and a fabulous new 2019! Hope the new year has kicked off to a good start for all of you. Our preschool’s new years' day was very special as the school announced the results of their annual exams. Out of the two hundred and sixty-seven students who sat for the exam, two hundred and fifty-four students shone especially bright, receiving A grades (A+, A- and A's). We are very grateful to all the hard working teachers who have made this fantastic result possible.
With the beginning of the new year, the kids also received new text books. This is always an exciting time for the children. The shiny new books bring big smiles that light up their precious faces.
Another piece of great news is the addition of two new preschool centers in Chittagong. These are in the Raufabad area and have enrolled forty new little ones so far.
With this update, we also wanted to share with you some interesting tidbits about Rakib, one of our preschool students:
Rakib is a student of OBAT’s preschool in Segun Bagan, Chittagong. He is five years old and is the youngest child of his parents, Jamal and Kajol. Rakib has two sisters and one brother. His father is a day laborer and mother is a homemaker. This is Rakib’s first year at the preschool and he is known to never skip a day!
Rakib likes to play cricket; his favorite cricket player is Sakib Al Hassan. His favorite color is red and he loves to eat fish. He shared with us that he loves his parents very much and wants to study more and become a doctor to serve people and to help his family. Now, aren’t those lofty intentions for a pint-sized person?
