Hello folks,
A very happy new year to all of you! We hope that the New Year has so far been full of zest and all things good for you.
It’s time for us to share with you all we have been up to since we last shared news with you. A couple of fun events have taken place at the preschool since then:
On November 2oth, OBAT’s Chittagong Preschool celebrated Universal Children’s Day. This day is celebrated worldwide and is focused on improving children’s welfare as well as promoting their rights. The Preschool held a program focused on various fun activities such as games, dancing and singing, to engage the children of the preschool. The children had a fantastic time belting out tunes and dancing to their heart's content!
December brought another wave of excitement as the children received their exam results in a small ceremony. The parents were invited to participate in a ceremony where certificates were given out to the students by them. This year, 328 students participated in the exams. The photos don’t do justice to the pride that shone on the little faces on receiving their certificates.
We would now like to introduce you to a future police officer and we will leave the talking to the little guy himself:
“My name is Siyam. I study at OBAT’s Preschool. I am 6 years old. I live in Khulsi in Chittagong.
My father’s name is Arshad. My father is a Woodcutter.
My mother’s name is Halima. She works as a maid.
I have one brother and two sisters.
My parents always take care of me and love me very much. We face many problems in my family as we don’t have much money.
I like my school and I enjoy attending it. I like my teachers and my books. My teacher does many fun things in class. So, I don’t like to miss class. I like to eat pineapples. I like the color red and also like to play football. When I finish studying, I will become a Police Officer and I will arrest all the bad guys!”
Hope you enjoyed reading our new year updates! We sure do appreciate your help in educating future doctors, engineers and rock star police officers!
Do share the preschool project with your friends and families and invite more support for early education. Thank you again!
Until next time!
Your friends at OBAT!
