Dear Friends & Supporters,
We are delighted to share with you the wonderful progress and activities that have taken place at our preschool during the months of April to June 2024. Your generous support continues to make a world of difference in the lives of our little learners, and we hope this report brings you as much joy as it does to us!
Learning and Growing Together
Our preschoolers have been busy exploring and discovering new things every day. Here’s a glimpse of what they’ve been up to:
Pre-Writing and Reading: Our little ones practiced writing and reading through activities involving real pictures, learning the names of various objects, and understanding concepts such as shapes, sizes, and comparisons (big-small, more-less, before-after). They also explored colors, seasons, and the names of fruits, flowers, vegetables, and fish.
Bangla Language: The children learned to recognize and write Bangla letters, including , , , , , , , , , and .
Math Skills: Our students continued to enhance their numerical skills, focusing on numbers from to (9 to 15).
English Language: The children have made great strides in their English studies, learning letters from M to Z.
Oral Skills: Storytelling, music, poetry, and acting were all part of our daily routine, bringing the syllabus to life and helping our children express themselves with confidence.
Supporting Our Teachers and Parents
To ensure that our preschool runs smoothly and effectively, we organized several important meetings:
Teachers' Meetings: We held meetings to discuss student studies, attendance progress, health and hygiene, discipline, class routines, the syllabus, and preparations for the Half Yearly Exam.
Parents' Meetings: We also organized meetings with parents to discuss their children's studies, attendance, health, discipline, and preparations for the Half Yearly Exam. These meetings strengthen the bond between school and home, ensuring our students receive the support they need both in and out of the classroom.
Special Events and Observations
Day Observation: Our children participated in various day observations, enriching their understanding of the world around them.
English Exercise Book Distribution: In May, we distributed Pathshala English books, specially designed by our Project Manager for our preschool kids. The children were thrilled to receive their new books, which are filled with engaging activities to help them read and write.
Nutrition Program: With the generous support of USAID and SMC Company, we organized a health campaign focused on food and nutrition. The children learned about the importance of healthy eating, and each child received food saline and nutritional powder mixes to take home.
Half Yearly Exam: June marked the time for our Half Yearly Examinations. Our students were excited to showcase their knowledge and hard work.
Progress Report Distribution: Following the exams, we distributed Progress Reports. The joy and pride on our students’ faces as they received their reports were truly heartwarming.
Looking Ahead
As we look back on these past months, we are filled with gratitude for your continued support. Your contributions have made it possible for us to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where our preschoolers can learn, grow, and thrive. We look forward to sharing more milestones with you in the coming months.
Thank you for being a part of our preschool family and for making a lasting impact on the lives of our children. Together, we are shaping a brighter future!
With heartfelt thanks,
