As always we are enormously grateful to GlobalGiving and those who donate through their platform to support E.A.S.E. Foundation. During the pandemic when the entire world was struggling we were able to continue our work because of the funds that came through GlobalGiving.
A highlight of the past few months was that we were invited to do a teacher training by one of Sri Lanka’s premier corporates, Cargills that is planning to open inclusive preschools countrywide. One person in the audience actually referred a friend’s child to us. The NGO secretariat also invited E.A.S.E. Foundation to do a presentation on our work along with other NGOs.
In addition to that we have had many enquiries by families wanting to join our educational center. We conducted intake interviews and enrolled a few new students.
After a hiatus of several months as our dance teacher moved away we have engaged a new dance teacher and have started this most popular activity again.
Unfortunately, months of rain has made it impossible to arrange a beach trip much to everyone’s disappointment.
Currently we are very busy preparing for the International Christmas Charity Bazaar(ICCB) This is our most important fundraising event and our stall selling many decorative craft items and Sri Lankan snacks is a popular draw at the bazaar.
