Building Financial Literacy Skills in children

Ashwini Charitable Trust(ACT) is committed to providing education and holistic development opportunities to underprivileged children. Our focus extends beyond academic curriculum to ensure that these children are equipped with the necessary skills to compete in mainstream society and succeed in their chosen careers. Our approach emphasizes not only academic excellence but also skill development tailored to each child's strengths and interests. We believe in nurturing their talents and honing their abilities to prepare them for the challenges of the future. The various skill development initiatives empower these children for a brighter future.

1. Public Speaking Sessions:
ACT organizes inspiring Public Speaking Sessions to empower senior students from 1st PUC to Degree. Recognizing the significance of communication skills in personal and professional growth, these sessions aim to equip students with essential skills. Effective communication fosters better understanding, collaboration, and idea exchange, both academically and professionally. Public speaking enhances confidence and the ability to articulate thoughts persuasively, crucial for career advancement.

2. Creative Writing Sessions:
Creative Writing Sessions are designed to foster creative thinking and enhance writing skills among students. Participants ranging from class 8th to degree level were encouraged to explore their creative potential. Through interactive exercises and discussions, these sessions aim to nurture imaginative spirit and improve writing proficiency. Such initiatives not only enhance academic performance but also unleash students' creative potential.

3. Financial Literacy and Economy Awareness Sessions:
Financial literacy and awareness about the economy are crucial for children's holistic development. ACT ensures that students understand financial concepts empowers children to make informed decisions about money management. Similarly, awareness about the economy prepares them to be responsible citizens. Sessions on financial literacy provided children with essential knowledge about budgeting, saving, and investing, while also educating them about economic principles.

4. Computer Literacy Program:
In today's digital age, computer literacy is indispensable. We conduct a comprehensive six-month Computer Literacy Program for 1st PUC to Degree students, focusing on mastering Microsoft Excel. Participants progress from basic computer knowledge to advance Excel proficiency through structured modules and practical exercises. This program equips children with essential digital skills for academic and professional success in an increasingly technology-driven world.

5. Soft Skill Sessions:
Soft Skill Sessions are conducted for degree students, focusing on interview skills, career transition, and effective communication. These sessions aim to prepare students for their future professional endeavours. Volunteers cover key aspects such as interview techniques and the importance of communication skills in the professional world, ensuring students are well-equipped for their career journey.

Through our dedicated efforts in skill development and education, Ashwini Charitable Trust remains committed to empowering underprivileged children, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in today's dynamic world. We extend our gratitude to our supporters and volunteers for their invaluable contributions to this noble cause.
