1. Project Background
In the conflict-torn province of North Kivu, D.R. Congo, ongoing violence—particularly linked to the M23 rebellion—has left thousands of children orphaned and displaced. Among them, 80 children in Goma are struggling to survive without access to school or basic supplies.
These children have lost their parents, homes, and in many cases, their sense of hope. For them, school is not just a place to learn—it is a place of safety, healing, and new beginnings.
2. Project Objective
The “Educate 80 War-Orphaned Kids in Congo” project aims to restore access to education for 80 orphaned and displaced children by providing them with complete school kits.
The goal is simple yet vital: help every child continue learning despite hardship, breaking the cycle of poverty and despair.
3. Key Activities
The project focuses on distributing school and hygiene kits to each of the 80 orphaned children.
Each kit includes:
In addition, children will receive support for school enrollment and regular attendance throughout the academic year.
4. Expected Impact
Educating these children is an investment in peace and sustainable development for the Congo.
The expected outcomes include:
Studies show that educated orphans are 75% less likely to face exploitation.
Through this initiative, 80 young lives will regain the chance to dream and build a brighter future.
5. Project Budget
The total estimated cost of the project is USD 5,000.
This amount covers school materials, logistics, and local coordination.
