Academia Juntos Podemos
The start of the school year in Juntos Podemos our academy for adolescents at social risk has been promising and challenging. Despite persistent obstacles related to the pandemic and difficult social and economic circumstances, we have managed to implement effective measures to ensure a safe and enriching educational environment for our students. This report details our achievements, challenges and strategies for the next quarter.
Notable Achievements
1.Student Participation: Despite the additional challenges faced by our at-risk students, we have observed a high level of attendance and engagement in classes and extracurricular activities.
3. Psychosocial Support: We strengthen our psychological and emotional support services for students, offering individualized counseling and wellness activities to help them face personal and family challenges.
4. Community Partnerships: We strengthened our collaborations with community organizations and local businesses to provide internship opportunities and mentoring programs for our students.
Identified Challenges
1. Access to Technological Resources: The digital divide continues to be a significant challenge for many of our students, making it difficult for them to participate in virtual classes and online assignments. We are exploring options to provide devices and internet access to those who need it.
2. Demotivation: Some students have shown signs of demotivation due to financial and family difficulties. We are working on strategies to keep them engaged and motivated in their learning.
3. Family Support: Lack of family support continues to be an obstacle for some students. We are looking for ways to involve families in the educational process and provide them with resources and training to support their children's academic progress.
Future Strategies:
1. **Tutoring Programs: We will implement individualized tutoring programs to offer additional academic support to students who need it.
2. Expansion of Partnerships: We will continue to expand our partnerships with businesses and community organizations to provide experiential learning and professional development opportunities for our students.
3. Social-Emotional Interventions: We will strengthen our social-emotional interventions to help students develop coping skills and resilience in the face of personal and social challenges.
In summary, the start of the school year has been positive despite the challenges. We will continue to work diligently to ensure that all of our students receive the support necessary to reach their full academic and personal potential.
