We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of GlobalGiving and the incredible impact it has had on the lives of the Jamaican people. Through your generosity and partnership, I-SEEED Youths has been able to provide hope, healing, and practical assistance to communities that needed it most. The two grants we received for Hurricane Beryl relief have been pivotal in restoring lives and strengthening resilience in affected areas.

Rebuilding After Hurricane Beryl

Hurricane Beryl left devastation in its wake, with homes destroyed, families displaced, and livelihoods disrupted. Thanks to the funding from GlobalGiving, we were able to mobilize swiftly, delivering critical aid and resources to those in dire need. With your support:

  • Over 200 families received emergency relief packages containing food, clean water, hygiene supplies, and basic necessities to help them recover in the immediate aftermath of the storm.
  • We partnered with local volunteers to repair and rebuild 15 homes, providing safe shelter for families who had lost everything.
  • Educational materials and school supplies were distributed to 100 children, ensuring their education was not disrupted despite the challenges they faced.

Your contributions allowed us to not only meet immediate needs but also invest in long-term recovery. We implemented community workshops on disaster preparedness, equipping over 500 residents with the knowledge and tools to better protect themselves and their families in future emergencies.

Fostering Hope and Resilience

The impact of these efforts goes beyond numbers. Your warm and kind assistance has brought hope to families who had lost faith and strength to those who felt powerless. One mother of three, whose home was rebuilt through this initiative, shared tearfully, “I never thought anyone would care enough to help us. You’ve given us more than a home; you’ve given us hope.”

Our engagement also rekindled community bonds. Neighbors came together to support one another, rebuilding not just homes but relationships. This collective spirit of resilience is one of the most lasting impacts of your kindness.

Strengthening Our Mission

With the continued support of GlobalGiving, I-SEEED Youths has been able to expand our reach and deepen our impact. Your belief in our mission fuels our dedication to creating sustainable change in Jamaica. The success of the Hurricane Beryl relief efforts has also strengthened our capacity to respond to future challenges, ensuring no one is left behind when disaster strikes. Our team recently received a visit from the Inter-American Foundation and the United Nations Group in Jamaica to see our success and requested that we submit a grant proposal to upscale our work because of the impact we have been creating in the country.

A Heartfelt Thank You

On behalf of the families, children, and communities who have benefited from your generosity, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your partnership has made it possible for us to transform lives and build a brighter future for the people of Jamaica. Together, we are not just rebuilding structures—we are restoring hope, dignity, and the promise of a better tomorrow.

Thank you for believing in our work and for choosing to stand with the people of Jamaica. Your impact is felt every day in the lives you have touched.
