tuition paid
By Rukhsana | Volunteer
With Educate a Girl Zakaat, our model is simple. We use the Zakaat donations to pay tuition for deserving girls in need.
We go to underprivileged areas and ask the schools for lists of students struggling to pay tuition and we pay it for them.
Ayela, 8, is a star math student and dreams of being an engineer once she’s older. But her family struggles to pay basic bills including her school tuition. She fears they will pull her out of school if they cannot afford it. Educate a Girl Zakaat saved the day by paying her entire year’s tuition, without asking for a cent back. She feels like the luckiest girl alive.
Thank you for your generosity!

Girls need education
By Rukhsana | Project volunteer
Now that schools are full time open, your donations are critical in enabling girls to be educated. Rather than just helping around the house, learning skills at school is critical for girls, whether or not they go on to work. And, your donation goes towards keeping them in school so that all efforts are made that they can not just learn, but pursue careers should they want.
Being on the ground as we are, it still amazes us that in 2022 we are still having the conversation around girl education. Girls have every right equal to boys to be educated, but culturally they are not encouraged the same way.
Your donation is the very bridge that is needed to ensure that finances are not the reason a girl is stop from being educated.
Thank you! Your generous truly transforms lives.

Educate a Girl a Day!
By Rafea Khatak | Project Volunteer
Education is the key to a girl's future. To a better life. To a better livelihood. To a better everything.
During the tough COVID-19 years, education suffered for many and young girls in Pakistan in particular. Your donations and support really made a difference as we went virtual and tried to facilitate girls access to learning, if not always full education. The more deserving the girl, the harder it was for her to have access to proper education, even if she had abundant time.
Now, we fortunately seem to be coming out of COVID-19 era and children are back in school and learning in person. The girls are benefitting every single day and working hard to make their dreams come true.
Thank you for supporting them throughout.
