At DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage, we're on a mission to ignite a passion for wildlife and environmental protection in our students through exciting and hands-on education. By learning about our incredible animals and interacting with them, we empower our students to become true conservation heroes. With your support, these young ambassadors have the power to make a real difference in their communities!

Environmental Stewardship: Make a Difference Every Friday

Every Friday, our eight standout students roll up their sleeves for an impactful mission: collecting plastic waste from around the DAKTARI grounds. This isn’t just a weekly chore: it's an adventure that opens their eyes to the critical importance of keeping our environment pristine. As they dive into this hands-on activity, they learn firsthand about the dangers of plastic pollution and discover how they can be part of the solution. This experience not only helps them contribute to a cleaner planet but also deepens their understanding of their role in protecting the Earth for future generations.

Exciting News: Nareng High School Joins the Adventure!

This year has already been a fantastic journey, as we've teamed up with three amazing schools: Diputhi, Molomahlapi, and Maahlamele, reaching 225 enthusiastic students. And now, we’re thrilled to announce the newest addition to our educational adventure: Nareng High School! Starting in mid-August, this vibrant school near DAKTARI, in Metz, will join our mission. Our dedicated volunteers are ready to inspire Nareng’s students, showing them how environmental education can turn them into champions for nature. Get ready for a new chapter in our quest to make a lasting impact!
