Respected Donor,
Wish you A HAPPY “X MAS” to a wonderful person like you. May this special day be filled with love and joy? HAPPY “X MAS” and many more returns of the Festival!
We are so glad to thank you for making a big impact on under privileged children education. Because of your support, our children are continuing their education without dropout.
Our surveys and experience, we find the dropout and migration is due to poverty.
Kannamma impact story.
Kannamma is from tribal community, 12 years old, dropout from 5th grade. Last two years, her family, migrated to too many places for finding work. As her father is agricultural labor, He found difficult to get work and her father income was not sufficient to run family. These two years, Kannamma was dropout from school.
Finally, she came to our project village and came to know that many tribal children are studying under our care. Within a week, she became friend of one of our tribal beneficiary child and came to our after school education centre. She sat along with children and found that there is meal provision also for the children of after school education. Our teachers allowed her to have meals.
She told the after school experience to her parents. Next day parents came to our centre and asked to enroll their child. But our teachers said, if you stop migrating only, we can enroll her in our centre and provide other benefits like formal school fee, school kit, income generation programme etc.
Very next day, I have visited her parents and provided two goats for their income. Now it is six months passed, the goats become 4, they are settled now here and their daughter is going to school regularly.
Many stories of our children are similar. poverty is the main factor for their dropout & migrating. To stop migration, CHHASE is providing housing, income generation programmes for tribal communities with your support.
