As a student at Christel House India – Bangalore, Monica Ashwath dreamed of becoming a teacher. But her career ambitions evolved through the years. In 2017, the Christel House graduate completed a master’s degree in optometry. But she candidly admits she had lost sight of her first passion – teaching. “I wanted to share the knowledge I had acquired, and I wanted to motivate young minds.” Monica realized her dream job at Christel House India. She is now teaching Math to students in grades 3, 4 and 5. As an alumnus, Monica feels a special connection and understanding with her students. “Returning to Christel House, I was excited, confident and ambitious,” says Monica. “I want to share all the love and care I received from my teachers with my own students.”
