CH India student is making a difference

By Paul Montgomery | Director of Marketing and Content Management

Meet Marie from CH India
Meet Marie from CH India

At Christel House India, we are committed to nurturing our students to become changemakers, equipped to lead transformative initiatives within their communities. Today, we are immensely proud to spotlight Maria, one of our 8th-grade students who got selected for an highly selective opportunity to be part of HundrED's Youth Ambassador Program.

This global initiative, in partnership with the International Baccalaureate (IB), unites passionate young individuals aged 13 to 19, empowering them to develop and enhance social impact projects that address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through online workshops, mentorship opportunities, and a supportive community, participants are inspired to make a positive difference in the world.
So what is Maria's Project? - A blog to amplify the voices of communities facing sanitation challenges, blending interviews, poetry, and solutions to spark action. “Your voice matters,” she says, a lesson she’s putting into practice as she rallies her community and plans to approach local government for change. Maria's journey exemplifies the spirit of this programme. She is actively developing a blog platform aimed at highlighting communities in need, sharing their challenges, and connecting them with potential supporters.
Her experience is a reminder of the holistic development we champion at Christel House India, where students are not only learners but also leaders and innovators. Maria's dedication and initiative serve as an inspiration to us all.
At Christel House India, we believe every child has limitless potential to transform the world. Maria’s proving it. Congratulations, Maria! Your commitment to making a difference embodies the very essence of our mission, and we look forward to witnessing the continued positive impact of your endeavors.
