Educate and Empower 400 PLWD as Leaders in Nigeria.
The impacts of the GlobalGiving’s Bonus Day, Little by Little, and Giving Tuesday events of 2022 continue to be felt, and resonating with other similar organizations. The Director of Hope Academy Schools, Jos Plateau State and founder of Elizer Technical Services have requested for a holistic approach to facilitate and seek public-private-partnership to build sustainable platforms for supporting the STEP’s PLWD long-term project. It is an exciting development for the sustainability and growth of this project.
To this end, we have assigned two of our young members of the Research & Development Team to design and prepare “CHOICES STEM Academy Teacher Manual” for one of the planned CHOICES Clubs of the GIEVA Organization.
Following the successful outcome of the November 29, 2022’s Giving Tuesday Program held in Lagos, Nigeria, the November 2023 Giving Tuesday Program is being planned to hold in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria to involve state government relevant agencies, NGOs, and some interested philanthropists to participate in the GIEVA Tuesday program of 2023.
Recognizing the growing public interest in the STEP’s PLWD Project long-term plan we are encouraged to put in place a process to identify PLWD adolescent/young adults with academic, leadership, & artistic talents to support in their academic objectives. To this end, the Elizer Technical Services, Nigeria in partnership with the GIEVA Organization has initiated technology training and learning services to inspire adolescents/young adults including persons with disabilities to have access to the CHOICES-STEM Academy program – a 12- 18-month STEM related programs that connect them to internships, networks of entrepreneurs, and innovators.
The GlobalGiving Organization has ignited our understanding of how to garner support globally for aworthy Cause. We are excitedly looking forward to a deeper relationship in 2023 as we identify, mobilize, and select gifted adolescent persons with disabilities to be part of this transformative long-term project and powered by dedicated young Nigerians.
