This month, it has all been about planning for our projects this year. Our staff have met several times over the course of the month in order to plan for the start of of all our projects. There are a number of important things which have taken place:
1. Identification of sites where activities will take place
2. Meetings with stakeholders such as schools and communities in order to consolidate objectives for the year
3. Distribution of playing kits to children.
With regards to this project, facilities are being readied in order to get girls to start training as soon as possible. This include the repair of tailoring machines, the cleaning and restoration of the tailoring centre as well as identification of beneficiaries for this year.
The training of peer leaders who will train girls on life skills is penciled in for February 22, with one of our other partners who will lead the training.
More updates will be provided once the training is completed at the end of the next month.
