We are excited to share with you some of the highlights from this past quarter at Community Compassion Initiative (CCI). Together with your support, we have continued to expand our education assistance programs, bringing hope and sustainable support to underprivileged students in underserved communities.
Classroom Library Loan
This quarter, we piloted a Classroom Library Loan Initiative to respond to the growing number of students we serve and shortage of staff. This innovation gave students daily access to reading books throughout the school term. In just one term, over 1,500 students benefitted from this initiative, while our Mobile Library continued to serve even more children across the community.
Teacher Professional Development
In preparation for the new school year, we organized professional development training for community teachers. A total of 50 teachers participated, gaining practical tools and strategies to improve classroom instruction and better support student learning outcomes. This year’s training also featured a session on “Self-Care and Personal Effectiveness – Sustaining Educators Serving in Hard Places,” teaching teachers the importance of caring for their physical, mental and emotional needs, and emphasizing that self-care is not selfish.
Back-to-School Outreach
Through our annual Back-to-School Outreach, we supported 750 students across nursery, primary, and secondary levels. Each child received a backpack filled with essential school supplies, including books, writing and coloring materials, water bottles, and many also received new school shoes. This support ensures children start the school year with confidence and the tools they need to thrive.
Our Impact
This quarter alone, thousands of children and their teachers have benefitted from CCI’s education programs, gaining access to books, resources, training, and hope. Together, these initiatives bring us closer to our mission of breaking cycles of poverty and empowering children through quality education and opportunity.
Appreciation
None of this would have been possible without your generosity, prayers, and support. Every book a child reads, every teacher equipped, and every backpack distributed is a direct reflection of your commitment to giving children the chance to learn, dream, and succeed.
Thank you for believing in this mission and for standing with us as we continue to transform lives, one child at a time.
