The Girl Child Foundation Uganda continues to make significant progress in removing barriers that prevent vulnerable girls from accessing and completing their education. Through the generous support of our donors and partners, we have provided essential educational resources, including school fees, uniforms, textbooks, and sanitary pads to girls from disadvantaged families.
Financial hardship remains one of the leading causes of school dropout among girls in rural Uganda. By covering critical education-related costs, we have enabled many girls to remain in school, attend classes consistently, and focus on their studies without interruption. The provision of sanitary pads has also helped reduce absenteeism during menstruation, allowing girls to participate fully in their education.
Beyond material support, the project continues to strengthen girls’ confidence and resilience through mentorship programs, life-skills training, and reproductive health education. These sessions equip participants with knowledge and practical skills to make informed decisions, build self-esteem, and pursue their academic and personal goals.
Our collaboration with schools, parents, and community leaders has been instrumental in creating a supportive environment for girls. Through regular follow-up and engagement, we ensure that beneficiaries remain enrolled, motivated, and protected from risks that could hinder their education.
The positive impact of this project is evident in improved school attendance, increased retention rates, and enhanced academic performance among supported girls. We are deeply grateful to our donors for making these achievements possible. Your continued support is helping transform lives, empower girls, and create brighter futures for communities across Uganda.
