Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, and your support continues to make that opportunity possible for vulnerable girls across Uganda. This reporting period, The Girl Child Foundation Uganda provided school fees assistance, uniforms, textbooks, and sanitary pads to girls at risk of dropping out of school.
Many beneficiaries come from households facing severe economic hardship. Without support, some girls would miss classes regularly or leave school altogether. Through this project, we have helped ensure that they remain enrolled and continue pursuing their dreams.
Our mentorship activities focused on helping girls build self-confidence, improve decision-making skills, and develop positive attitudes toward education. Participants shared their aspirations and learned practical strategies for overcoming obstacles they encounter in their daily lives.
We also delivered reproductive health education sessions that addressed important topics including menstrual hygiene management, personal safety, and healthy relationships. These sessions created opportunities for open discussion and learning in a supportive environment.
The combined impact of educational assistance and mentorship has contributed to improved attendance and stronger academic commitment among supported girls. Teachers have noted increased participation in class and greater enthusiasm for learning.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors who make this work possible. Your generosity is helping girls stay in school, gain confidence, and work toward a future filled with opportunity and hope.
