Educate 50 Kids with Disabilities in Honduras

Health and education, determinants in child development.

Health and education are two key aspects that go hand in hand in a child's development. Thinking that we can achieve educational progress without addressing health is utopia.

The Un Mundo organization is making enormous efforts to ensure that children with disabilities have medical evaluations, exams and medications, in order to contribute to improving the quality of life of each child. In addition to offering personalized tutoring within the school classroom.

The intervention that is taking place in the region of the Cangrejal River Basin in Northern Honduras is having incredible results, children able to learn to read and write at a faster rate than expected, with a considerable improvement in their health. , and with a better quality of life thanks to all this.

None of this success would be possible without the support of our collaborators. To continue impacting lives, we need to continue collaborating and expanding our voice with other people to grow this initiative.

Face of joy

This boy in our story did not receive a toy to play with, it was his new wheelchair, but according to him, it was his request in his prayers every night.

With little we can change the quality of life of people, and with the delivery of this wheelchair we can ensure that this child is very happy.

Mother's testimony:

Being in the program that serves children with disabilities has been a blessing for us, and my son's quality of life has improved noticeably. He learned to read and write fluently, socialize more with other people. His self-esteem improved a lot.
