The latest report from the Bon Center included details of the curriculum followed by students. Art is an important aspect of Bon culture and all students attend art classes which can be traditional Bon inspired art or other. The 230 children receive a well- rounded education during their time at the center which prepares them well for adult life as they are provided with academic, philosophical, life skills and spiritual instruction.
One student wrote about his experience of stage fright, “When I first stood on the stage I felt fearful and worried but also some happiness. My heart was racing. I gave my speech and was proud of myself as the teachers and students were praising me. The fact I did this the first time made me able to participate in activities and give speeches again. I learned how to be in front of other people. This will be useful in my life.”
Thank you for your continuing interest in the Bon people.
