There are 230 students who live and study at the center. They are engaged in traditional academic subjects but also learn about Tibetan culture, language and arts and the Bon tradition. The Bon Center is a second home to the children who attend the school and live there.
One student said, “When I arrived at the center I could not talk to anyone because I was confused when I heard the Tibetan language. I have been here 6 years now and I have learned about many things. I can speak the language and have learned a lot about my homeland. I am grateful to have had the chance of a good education.”
