The Bon Center continues to be Covid-19 free which is a relief for everyone. The staff and students maintain strict sanitation and social distancing measures to ensure everyone is safe.
The students have been studying getting lessons by video and using education packs to keep up with their work. Special guest teachers were invited to the hostel also. The school reopened in August with appropriate safety measures. The 160 children, including those from Tibet and Nepal, are excited to continue their education and other activities in a more normal school environment.
Here are the comments of one student in an essay titled “My best friend” – “We are social animals. We cannot live alone and we need company. I have many friends but my best friend is Sopa. She is helpful and kind in nature. She is good at studies and always the first to raise her hand in class. She is good at sport and respects teachers and elders. She is a good friend to me.”
Thank you for your support and interest in the education of youth.
