Continue to restore the rights of child workers du

By Claudia E. Garcia Reyes | Movimiento de Apoyo a Menores Abandonados MAMA A.C

Thank you so much for all your confidence and faith in our work. We are continuously working hard to make this world a better place for children.

This year we started with great achievements, during the first four months, our team of educators:

  • Attended 80 children in total, 41 boys and 30 girls
  • Given 84 hours of Life Skills classes and educational reinforcement where the boys and girls have got to know themself better and improve their educational level.
  • Served 593 plates in that last four months of the year to the boys and girls participating in the program

However, in March our project faced the challenge of adapting its operation to the pandemic. We knew we needed to take action, the rights of child workers must continue to be guaranteed in times of crisis.

For this reason, since March 15 twice, we have restored the right to food by delivering 432 basic food baskets to the families of child workers in the beneficiaries' work areas and homes.

Thanks to your support we can cover their most basic alimentary and sanitary needs, to provide the social protection and prevent the effects of the crisis.

Thank you for all your support, which is what makes our work possible.

Please stay safe during these difficult days for us all.
